The Vulture General
also known as the “Vulture General.” As a boy he witnessed his father killed on the shores of Tortoryn, since that time vowing to get revenge. He later married Constance LeBrun, a promising young lady of a noble house, introduced to him by his mother Katarina. Still he could not be swayed from his vengeance. On the expedition he made a pact with a Witch upon the island who wanted him to kill her enemies in exchange for treasure. He was able to procure the treasure upon landing his fleet but during the battle of Cnoc’na Ghal other conditions promised by the Witch were not meant and he ordered the entire city to be razed to the ground. During that he managed to capture a Barbarian boy later to be known as H’ada Leod. The Bone Man Jahga met his forced in combat and was eventually overwhelmed in combat, Arsenault executing him at last with his own pistol. However the vengeful Witch had attacked his officers after he refused her the death of the barbarian boy and she had decimated them all with terrible Blood Magic. Arsenault himself had barely managed to escape with his life as hid Brother-in-Law Bruno LeBrun had dragged him ailing from the field of battle. Once returned to Mordant he had gifted his wife Constance with the Barbarian boy as a slave. However their marriage itself was dissolving as slivers of hate began to erupt between the two. However Constance wasn’t so headstrong as to give up her position of power so they found a working relationship in their marriage as they both separately grasped at power in their own ways. Arsenault was given a promotion to General and became one of the most influential dangerous people in all of Mordant. However after a botched ploy of his wife he had to have H’ada Leod removed to the control of his Brother-In-law Bruno LeBrun. Sometime later, Arsenault discovered that Bruno had become aware of a plot that Arsenault was concocting and made himself a serious threat to the General and his secret vie for power. Arsenault saw to Bruno’s death himself but the Barbarian had managed to stumble across the murder. Arsenault was able to use this to his advantage as he framed H’ada for the murder and then had him secretly incarcerated in the Bastide Reformatory which Arsenault owned. The Vulture General came to realize how potentially dangerous the Barbarian could be so he made arrangements to have the boy watched, controlled and contained.
